Lawn mowers not self propelling can sometimes occur due to mainly two reasons:

1) Check whether the cable is adjusted properly, if is is loose, tighten the cable up. The area that needs tightening is often found half way down the drive cable.

2) The drive may have become detached from either the gear box or the drive pulley (above the blade) -  this problem is not so common, but can happen especially when the grass is too long or too wet.If this occurs, ensure that the lawnmower is TURNED OFF and turn lawnmower on to its side (EXHAUST SIDE DOWN).  Remove the built up grass from around the gear box and re-attach the belt back onto the area it has slipped from.

This should then resolve the issue for you.
