Help! I mowed my lawn and cut through the cable.
You will be amazed how often people cut through the power cable whilst mowing their lawns. You can either buy a replacement cable from the manufacturer or purchase a special socket called a ‘Dura Plug’, which costs around £12.00.
All you would need to do, is to strip back the cables atleast 2 inches past the damage and insert the socket. IF FITTING YOURSELF, MAKE SURE THAT YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. ENSURE THAT THE PRONGED END OF THE DURA PLUG IS ATTACHED TO THE APPLIANCE, OTHERWISE THE PRONGED END, WILL BE CONSTANTLY LIVE.
It takes around ten minutes to fit. If you don’t feel happy doing this repair, any local lawnmower agent would be able to do this for you and would probably charge you for the part and their minimum repair charge.

When you are about to start mowing, position the mower at the point on you lawn nearest to your power socket and then mow away from there. Hence, if your power source is in the bottom left corner, start there and mow up the lawn first and then progress across to the right. It is an idea to keep your cord on the same side of the mower as your power source.
