We have had a few instances were the drive cable on the Cobra T40B tiller has been incorrectly adjusted at the factory,
The symptoms of this issue are as follows, (extract from a customer)
“I recently purchased a rotavator however I am having some Issues, the main concernes are:
1. Smoke coming from the main body whilst running and for a short period when stopped,
2. The blades are not turning almost as soon as pressure is applied to the soil and making a grinding sound,
The photo attached is where the cable should be adjusted to – please note - if you count the number of threads there should be 3 visible, this should resolve the issue.
Failure to adjust the cable will result in the drive belt burning and snapping.
